Pulp can be included in the iconic tradition of cantilever chairs: This type of chair has become one of the challenges of contemporary design since its first appearance in the 1920s. It is based on a revolutionary idea that at some time in the future we will literally be able to sit on air. Many designers have attempted to research increasingly innovative shapes and solutions, including Christophe Pillet, who, with the Pulp chair, offers his interpretation of this evocative metaphor. Embracing and moulded to the shape of the body, Pulp is made of black or white polypropylene, an innovative material for an already classic chair. It is a design and technological challenge for a product designed to be resistant to wear and tear, stable, stackable, easy to clean and ideal for the contract sector and community areas, either indoors or outdoors.
